JOB AT THE DETROIT INSTITUTE OF ARTS ON DEC. 8. 2009!
JAZZ INFO:
-The Jazz Band members should all have a copy of
"The New Real Book"
(second edition), available at most local music stores.
Purchase the book required for the key of the instrument you play....For
example,
a trumpet player would purchase the book in the key of B-flat.
We will be working
out of this book almost exclusively, and students will need to have a book to
practice from.
-All guitarists/bassists should own a chord chart book...contact me for details.
-All musicians should be bringing jazz literature home weekly to practice.
